The Stella Starling world is a happy, mostly angst free place where love always wins. Fluffy and full of sugary sweet romance, the stories are uncomplicated, feel good reads that will put a smile on your face.
In the Stella Starling world, bLoved is the hottest new dating app for gay guys - a way not to just hook up but to actually find love - true, real everlasting love through the algorithms founder, Kelly Davis has created. With the financial backing of Logan Carter, the company is poised on the verge of viral success and have planned a special Valentine's Day campaign centered around Kelly to take advantage. But when Kelly's stalker escalates to death threats, he finds himself withdrawn from the public eye with a mostly silent bodyguard, no internet and endless amounts of boredom before him.
Be Mine is written concurrently to Be True and follows Kelly Davis and his bodyguard, Jase Walker when they go off grid and while Logan and Trevor are busy with the social media campaign for bLoved.
This was good. I liked Kelly and Jase and the chemistry between them was a good mix of flirty, sexy and feisty. Both of them were funny and I loved the banter as they pushed each other to the limits. Their relationship was generally well paced, although the wider plot of the stalker kind of dragged. But it allowed them to find time to talk and get to know each other without just jumping straight into bed and it made it stronger for it. I was a little frustrated at Kelly's inability to understand that Jase's job was important to him - but then he was missing most of the important parts of the story - like that Miles Bryne basically took him in and gave him a chance. So I guess it's understandable. Even if it annoyed me at the time.
Overall it had me laughing and smiling and was lighthearted fun read. 3 stars.… (más)

In Your Biggest Fan, Gideon is captivated when he sees Harley Castle perform in the musical, Grease. When his sister finds his address online, Gideon takes the leap to send Harley fan mail. Eight years later, Harley decides it's time to track down his biggest fan.
Hot damn. This was fantastic. I may be your biggest fan now, Stella, because this had me swooning, giggling and smiling the whole way through. It's not perfect but it's definitely a feel good romance with likeable characters and an amusing storyline. I loved the Moody family with their nosiness and love of musicals and I adored the easy acceptance they had of everyone and everything.
Perfect read to kick back and relax with. 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4.… (más)

Consistent Starling fluff.
As the owner of Bloved, Kelly has unfortunately made himself the target of a jilted psycho bent on revenge, thinking Kelly’s dating app stole his true love from him. The threats have escalated to disturbing proportions and against Kelly’s wishes, bodyguard Jase is called in to whisk him away from danger.
Jase and Kelly are like oil and water, and their clashing interactions were fun and amusing. Each think themselves as either not deserving of love or doomed to loneliness for forever, but one knows that attraction will win out and they’ll succumb to their desires.
Overall, no surprises here. Insta-lust and love is strong, but with a feel good vibe all around. Just what one needs when craving something sweet, simple, and entertaining!… (más)
