Considering this is a novella, it was really great. I really liked Sara. She was funny - very snarky - and practical. There was lots of action and adventure and I loved the concept of the tarot cards. Can't wait to read more of the series. 4 stars.
“Demon Betrayed” is the fifth book in the “Demon Enforcers Series”, by Jenn Stark, which focusses on the Syx, a group of demons once brought into the narrative by Sara Wilde in one of her former adventures in the “Immortal Vegas Series”.
The Syx are former Angels, who after their Fall were turn into Demons and became the Enforcers, an elite group which, under the oversight of Michael the Archangel, polices the actions of demons this side of the Veil. Each of the books is dedicated to one of the members of the Syx, and now finally is time for Hugh to find redemption. The story is a rich canopy of events, interweaving adventure and romance, with a quest for redemption and the eternal question about the possibility of walking the line between good and evil, hoping to remain unscathed. Hugh has been my favorite Styx from the very beginning thus I came into the story with huge expectation, and even so…. the plot met them with ease and then some more. This is the best book in the series, I could be biased 😉 as Hugh is my favorite Styx, but…. no…. this is the best book in the series nevertheless 😊. Witnessing Hugh going to the motions, and hoping against hope that his quest leads to salvation is not only entertaining but also equally heartbreaking and heart-warming, and… I’ve already said enough… let us stop right here, before I inadvertedly spoil the tale 😉
As always Jenn Stark takes us for a ride in a perfectly crafted world with a spotless prose and the exact needed garnish of wit with generous servings of innuendo. The Demon Enforcer Series is a more mature reading than the original “Immortal Vegas” , but nevertheless nicely packed and elegantly carried out. I keep repeating myself… gladly! Stark is one the best Urban Fantasy authors ever, she possesses the rare ability to weave very serious and realistic themes in fantasy frame that feels oddly familiar.
Jenn Stark Urban Fantasy Verse encompasses three Series: the original "Immortal Vegas", the Spin-On/Sequel "Wilde Justice" and the Spin-Off "Demon Enforcers". Every one of the three is a clear recommendation to every lover of intelligent and good crafted urban fantasy.… (más)

“Wilde Magic” is the story all “Immortal Vegas” series fans have been waiting for, a new series starter that explain what exactly happened between “One Wilde Night” (which is included in this book) and “Getting Wilde”, book 2 in the series. How did Sara Wild ‘exactly’ ended up working for Armaeus? Now, we finally know 😉
Jenn Stark possesses a rare gift for storytelling that turns every story into a reader’s delight,
her writing style is unique, a mixture of hardcore adventure and whimsicality, that makes the story simultaneously light and surprisingly deep, with characters that show very real-life qualities in seemingly fantasy situations, an impeccable delivery, action-packed, fast-paced, and still with a carefully character description and a rich rendered UF verse. Readers acquainted with “Immortal Vegas” already know what to expect, all those who have been leaving under some kind of rock, none of my business, this is between you and your rock 😉 you are very welcome to the Series and are in for a treat… lucky you 😊 there is another 10 books in this series waiting for you (and eight additional ones in the spin-off “Wilde Justice”) but… make a plan to schedule some sleep hours now and then, because once you step into Immortal Vegas, you’ll never be able leave 😉

Raum’s story might be the very best in the series, even if – as I have already stated in numerous occasions – I’m partial to Hugh, he is without doubt my favourite demon, but for all there is worth, Raum’s is the best story-arc. If you thought Jenn Stark was a genius before (spoiler: she has always been one), wait until you read this story, this is a perfect crafted story, which focussed as much (if not even more) in Zee’s as in Raum, fleshing out their respective past to make us fully understand their present relationship and make their choices all the more relatable, and fully realistic.
