Bruun, a young Eskimo boy, sees a snow bear in his town and he wants to help her. Bruun feeds her and helps her return to the snowy wild, but Bruun doesn't want to leave her all alone. Together the snow bear and Bruun sleep, bathe, and hunt in the wild until winter is over with. A group of hunters brings Bruun back to town and to his family. When Bruun is older, and a hunter of his own, he sees his snow bear and treats her with kindness until it is time for her to pass. This story shows the relationship between a young boy and nature. Bruun learns from the snow bear, and he uses those skills in the future. Even though polar bears are killers and natural hunters in the wild, this book is a good representation of the connection between mankind and nature. Good book to discuss relationships, and what knowledge we can gain from one another.… (más)
