This was such a fun book! There was a strong element of suspense in the beginning but I really liked that it wasn’t front and center the entire time. It made for a really interesting balance and it allowed for the love story between Kira and Sebastian to really bloom. And that is most certainly what their love story did.

Kira was a really strong character who had been facing so much on her own for so long. The more things that came out about what she had been out through and dealing with alone, the angrier I became for her. It was almost as if she had resigned herself to the life she felt stuck in and was just going through the motions. And she deserved so much more than that.

Sebastian made a great paramedic and I loved that he showed all of his patients so much care. The instant attraction he felt for Kira sent him reeling and was so much fun to experience. He wanted to give Kira the world and he was bound and determined to convince her that she deserved it. I loved getting immersed in their story and the way their lives were becoming intertwined.

This novel was definitely fast paced but it was done gracefully. It made for a quick and satisfying read. And the characters are certainly ones I won’t be forgetting any time soon. I strongly recommend this one!
