The majority of this book is the typical "here's how you by books and build a library" followed by chapter after chapter of "best books in each category/recommended title lists".

But this one gets an extra star for having some insightful views on the importance of a home library. Plus there is a whole chapter about collecting books and starting a home library while WWII rages on. That was pretty unique and a timely piece of writing, which sets this one a little above all the others.
