Nicely written and engaging overview of the history of chocolate and related information such as manufacturing and famous companies. Lots of nice details. Enjoyable. I read this in an evening.

Your children may never emotionally recover from the news that in Denmark children get chocolate soup for breakfast so be prepared for chocolate soup requests. 🙂

Heartfelt junior biography of Maria Montessori includes quotes from her speeches, and many of her ideas. It has charming black and white drawings by Janet and Alex D'Amato. However, on page 16 & 17 are two surprising errors: that she lived 88 years and that she was born in 1850. In fact, she lived 82 years, and was born in 1870.

This is the sequel to The Secret of the Brownstone House, which I haven't read. It's an enjoyable teen girls' mystery. I got to chuckle over what Robin thought an escort service was, but Miss Tilly, the escort her busy aunt hired for Robin, is fun.

Emma Tilly gladly takes Robin to see Madame Tussaud's wax museum. That sight was suggested by Mark Roper, the cute nephew of the owner-manager of the hotel where Aunt Val and Robin are staying. I'm sorry that the author didn't describe a bit more of the Chamber of Horrors. At least that's where the mystery starts -- with something one doesn't expect to have happen in a wax museum. Not unless one is stuck in a horror movie, or perhaps The Twilight Zone. Of course Emma is chatting with people she knows, so there are no witnesses and no one believes Robin.… (más)
