Murder & Other Acts of Literature: Twenty-Four… por Michele B. Slung
Completely entertaining. Some stories are fun, some intensely serious. I didn't necessarily enjoy every story--I don't have an affinity for some of these authors (e.g., Cheever, Trollope, Faulkner)--but all of the stories were well chosen for this anthology. My favorites were:

1. The Fat Man by Isak Dinesen (the most affecting)
2. The Macbeth Murder Mystery by James Thurber (the funniest, of course)
3. The Widow and the Parrot: A True Story by Virginia Woolf (the happiest, most satisfying ending, and a surprise, since Woolf normally makes my eye twitch)
4. In Vino Veritas by A. A. Milne (excellent surprise ending)

Living With Cannibals And Other Womens Adventures por Michele Slung
This was a thoroughly interesting book. The writing was a little on the plain side, but it did serve to intrigue me. I'll definitely be looking into the lives of Florence Baker, Ida Pfeiffer, Isabella Bird Bishop, Dervla Murphy, and Marriet Chalmers Adams.

I Shudder at Your Touch: Volume One, Four Tales of… por Michele Slung
~ The Revelations of 'Becka Paulson -- Stephen King - DNF A woman shoots herself in the head by accident but just covers it with a band-aid and tries to forget about it. Her painting of "Jesus" starts talking to her, telling her things she would never know including what people do behind closed doors and how to build electronics. I was a little bored, not really a high interest once we get into the Jesus talking part. Unfortunately we hear about a couple of kids being molested and I'm done. So f'n tired of hearing details of kids getting molested.

~ A Glowing Future -- Ruth Rendell 2* a guy comes back to his old girlfriend to claim his belongings. He is a dick.
