Ava Sinclair

Bobbi is Cord's little. He was her court appointed psychologist after an arrest. He falls in love with her. After 3 years together, Cord is doing a seminar at Rawhide Ranch for Bigs on how to handle a brat. Bobbi is not being a good girl and is getting in trouble. She accuses Cord of not listening to her needs. When it gets too much for her, she leaves. Will Cord find her? Will Cord and Bobbi be able to communicate their needs to each other so they each get what they need?

I enjoyed this story. It was one of the most intense ones in the Rawhide Ranch series. Bobbi and Cord have been living in a bubble where they only have each other. Now with the seminar at Rawhide Ranch, they are now dealing with other people. While I understand what Cord is telling Bobbi about his and her future, I completely see Bobbi's side as she accuses him of not listening to her needs. They both need to look inside themselves to find the way back to each other. I loved the Halloween theme of the story and especially the ending.

Yes, Papa

Wilhelmina James is only doing what her Uncle Simon told her to do. Too bad she's breaking the law. When Gage catches her, they spend one wonderful night together and then she escapes.

Gage spends the next 3 months tracking her down so that he can haul her into justice. When he hears her story, and spends time with her, he decides she's innocent and she becomes his little girl.

Great story, well-written, great characters. I love Billy and Gage is quite a good papa.… (más)

The Completely His series is getting a new addition. His to Corrupt is the newest book in the series, and it's darkish, gritty, and real. And altogether fantastic.

Clara is considered the quiet, prim, proper good girl of her friends. While her two friends often entertain other guys, it's not something that Clara does. She had a steady relationship, but that recently ended. Plus, as a teacher at a Catholic school, she has to appear to be above sin.

Jackson is anything but above sin. In fact, he welcomes sin, invites it to come home with him, and wallows in it. He runs a somewhat illegal bar where people who have gotten out of prison or had other hard times can hang out or get a job.

When Clara's friends drag her to Jackson's bar, there's trouble. Someone takes a shine to her but she's not interested. Jackson actually kicks her out of the bar because he knows she's going to be trouble.

This was an awesome story on so many levels. Clara teaches literature and is teaching The Scarlet Letter in her class and what happens really seems to echo that book sometimes. Poor Clara seems to be trapped by what the people in her school and the people in her town expect her to be, even if that's not what she wants.

I like Jackson, but sometimes he annoys me. It's like sometimes he doesn't stop to think about what Clara is saying to him because he's just so sure that he knows best or he's not ready to look at things from her POV. However, mostly I like him.

Definitely on the dark-ish side, but not completely black, maybe more grey, and very enjoyable.

Iris is a human woman who has gone to TraoX39. The theory is that they need women to be mates and the Earth has too many people. However, the people in charge on TraoX39 are lying. The women aren't going to loving husbands, they are being sold to those men. When the man who places the highest bid on Iris is a scummy scumbucket that Iris wants nothing to do with, she runs away. When she's caught she's punished and then sent to the Trogarians, an alien force on Trao to keep the peace. The chieftains need a new bride.

Utak and Zios are brothers who share a mate. Their mate died before giving birth to their child. The PTB on Trao want to keep the Trogarians sweet as much as they want to punish Iris, and they figure that they will handle two birds with one stone by giving her to them. They figure that the Trogarians are barbarians and they will rape and kill Iris. However, that's not what happens. After being punished and spending time with the brothers, Iris starts to care for them and they will do anything for her.

This is a relatively short story with a lot of hot sex. It's part of a larger related series by Ava Sinclair that all take place on TraoX39. There are some overlapping characters, but each one really is a stand-alone series with a strong HEA. There are a lot of things about this series that I like. One of them is that when the woman gets pregnant she can feel it and that when the spark of life comes to that child, she can feel that too. It's kind of sweet. Another thing that I really liked is that Iris gets the Trogarians to realize that being able to speak up doesn't mean that a woman isn't submissive to her mates. Great book.… (más)
