Five stars not just because my friends are in this book :) but because it is so good and honest. The author is a teenage girl with problems, no money, no adult-approved ambitions, a ridiculous haircut, the kind of girl that wider society finds to be beneath their notice, and she just refuses to be ignored — even when she’s writing to one specific person there’s a sense of knowing she’s writing to the world. It’s less of a novel than a headspace — I’ve never read it straight through but I’ve gone back to it many times.… (más)
