Gostei muito, está no mesmo nível dos outros livros da coleção "Grandes Batalhas". Além de descrever os detalhes da batalha em si, trata com muita profundidade o contexto político (mas focando nos indivíduos, como César e Pompeu) em que está inserida.

Not quite the usual campaign book; almost one-third of the book, the first third, is a survey of Byzantine history in the years leading up to the 717-718. That can be a bit familiar if you have other books in this series. A surprisingly small amount of the book is devoted to the actual siege itself, and I deduct points for going off on a bit of alt-history at the end. Worth a good read, but best for students of the era.

This YA book is exactly what it claims to be: a history of the fall of Troy. The writing flows well and the author does a great job incorporating primary and secondary sources. The book has some great artwork included as well. A detailed synopsis of the Trojan War, recommended for young history lovers and students who need a starting point for background and research.
