This book is most useful for the practice of TOEFL tests, as the CDs do complement the units rather well. So far, I used the book for training adults and other students from France, as they needed to improve their grades (in spite of being knowledgeable with the grammar and all the fiddly bits, they ALL lacked confidence in the 'listening' section, because this was not taught in secondary and high schools).

Having the 'ear' for a foreign language is not something that comes naturally, and adults have problems to come to terms with making the effort for something they have a natural resistance to - but, with the right tools, and some efforts, some went beyond the 800 mark (out of 900+).… (más)
