Time Out of Hand: Revolution and Reaction in… por Robert, Shaplen
Chapter "Indonesia: Sleeping Beauty." Though a journalist and not an academic, Robert Shaplen provided one of the first extensive report on the 1965 coup d'État in Indonesia, its causes and consequences. Good reports and analyses of the other South-Asian countries too: Thailand, Vietnam (during the war), and Singapore (freshly independent in those days). A must for any scholar interested in the period, not just historians but political scientists as well.
