Texaco and the $10 Billion Jury, by James Shannon (read 11 Nov 2001) This is a 1988 book by a juror in the Pennzoil-Texaco case, and I think it is the first juror-written book which I have read. The author led the jury to the extraordinary verdict which it rendered, so one cannot expect the book to be balanced; rather it seeks to show the verdict was justified. But I found this was a thoroughly enjoyable and easy-to-read and absorbing book, and, since it relied a great deal on the actual trial transcript, also accurate in its account.… (más)
