This book is set in New Orleans, as demonstrated by the vibrant and lively illustrations of local attractions such as Bourbon Street and Jackson Square. The story celebrates the rich history of music in the city, and uses music as a metaphor for the effects Hurricane Katrina had on the city. My wife and I bought this book while in Maine for the adoption of our son. We really love this book. It has lots of fun things about the state of Maine in it that remind us of that trip. The illustrations go perfectly with the story! This is a very cute children's book.
