The other half could care less where they reside, because they are too busy yammering on endlessly about everything from Sit-Com theme songs to theology and metaphysics.

Nick Shamhart is not a genre writer. His novels are character based. The result is whatever the story becomes, from romantic comedy to drama or thriller. He is the author of the theologically and psychologically driven series based on the afterlife called the Balance Books. The Fog Within por Nick Shamhart

This is way out of my comfort zone. I read it because I liked Shamhart's Balance Books and I have an autistic nephew. I like to read, not write, so I'll keep this short. This book got way under my skin. I cried and I laughed and it broke my heart. All I can say is that I challenge you to read this book and not see your life and the life of people around you in a different way.

The Fog Within por Nick Shamhart

The best book I've read about autism. Megan is so endearing and you have to fight her battles with her. It's not society judging her kind of story that is so prevalent. This is the story of a woman judging herself.

The Fog Within por Nick Shamhart

What a look into someone's mind! I wish I could say that I've never judged somebody with a child they claimed had autism. I felt most of the time autism was being used as a label for bad behavior and poor parenting. I've never felt worse about having those thoughts than I do after reading this book. I wish I could give it six stars.

The Fog Within por Nick Shamhart

I live with two boys who have autism. My son and my nephew. They both have very limited speech and suffer from wild temper tantrums. The Fog Within doesn't offer you advice. I think that alone shows you that Nick Shamhart really knows what he is talking about when it comes to autism. Anybody trying to raise a child with autism will get tons of well meaning and not so well meaning advice from everybody around them.

This book shows a little girl's life and her struggle with the simple things we take for granted and opens up your eyes, making you start to wonder why we do some of the stupid things we do..."Stupid ticking clock hands!"

Both those with autism and without autism ties would benefit from reading this book!… (más)
