1. This book is great for young children who are a part of a blended family. The combination of the dog and duck families represent how a group of people can still be considered family, even if they are not related by blood or if they do not look the same.
2. Vibrant, colorful illustrations to keep the reader engaged.
3. This would be a fun read aloud - there are a lot of speech bubbles and opportunities for fun voices.
4. This book contains a lot of high frequency words (the, with, was, etc.) and cvc words (dad, fun, cat, etc.) for young readers to identify.
5. Recommended for animal lovers, especially those that love ducks and/or dogs. Personally, ducks are my favorite animal, so I would have absolutely checked this book out from the library if it was available when I was a child.… (más)
