Although a decade old, the book didn't feel particularly dated; the military's iron grip on Burma remains as strong today as it did then. I enjoyed the author's informative, yet informal, style.
This is a medicore book if you're looking for information about lesbian sex or sexuality. If you're looking for soft-core porn images of pretty women touching each other, it's decent. "Everything But the Girl" is a much better exploration of lesbian sexuality via photographs

It's definitely not a "book of lesbian... sexuality". Lesbian sex, sure. The pictures are hot and sexual and daaaaaamn those women are pretty. But there isn't a lot of information in this book. Each chapter is 1-3 pages, just barely touching on the topic, and the pictures are definitely the focus of the book. I'd be very disappointed if I'd spent money on this book, because it just doesn't deliver. The chapter titles promise so much more then they deliver, this book has the potential of being such a wonderful resource, but instead it's basically just porn.… (más)
