Fairly useful in describing the plots of major operas and the history of the development of the form; not terribly useful at all for a person interested in the technical aspects of music who doesn't understand anything about it at all. At least I have a list of titles to look up.

Could have been very good except that the holes are too big. Where's Lou Harrison, for example? I sure would like to hear and read a good execution of the concept.
