Cute story of Sophia and her dog Leo helping with a fundraiser to get the dogs at the animal shelter adopted by Christmas. A quick read of only 32 pages.

Children will love the story and the bright illustrations. However, some children may be confused by the facial expressions on Sophia and Leo. The expressions are the same on every single page. Happy, sad, or excited – the expressions are the same. The book needed better proofreading. (I know – children will not notice, but I still feel like it should be written properly.) An example is when “there” is used erroneously in place of “their”.

Based on the primary audience being the children, I give it four stars out of five.… (más)
