My favorite chapters were as follows:

The Public, Pubic and the Private by Kathleen Sands talks about queerness as a public good and how progressives cede the religious ground unnecessarily by discussing queerness in terms of privacy, rather than demand folk make defend their religious justifications. Why Sexual Regulation: Family Values and Social Movements by Janet R. Jakobsen which discusses family values as a idiom many use to express their discomfort with changing social orders and Policing of Poor Black Women's Sexual Reproduction by Traci C. West which anti blackness and our Christian ethics turn poor black women into enemies of the state. These three articles are well worth reading and are in my opinion the best in the book.… (más)
