“The Tay is Wet” consists of short stories depicting life in rural Ireland couple of decades ago (ca 1950s). The main character - Timmy Deery - as well as his family members and some other neighbours are typical countrymen of Ireland: calm, appreciative of a good pint and/ or tea (or Tay is they call it in County Meath) and taking life as it is with all its joys and sorrows. It’s a lovely and heart-warming book written with great sense of humour and with a charming limerick presenting each story. All in all a very enjoyable quick read.… (más)
