- Biografía breve
- Ted Russell (1904 - 1977) of Coley's Point, Conception Bay, became a schoolteacher at age 16 and later, a district magistrate. These occupations took him to many Newfoundland communities where he heard the tales and stories of local fishermen. He later recounted these yarns in his role as Uncle Mose, on CBC Radio in the 1950's. Many of his 600 or so scripts have been published in books (Breakwater Books, Harry Cuff Publications), formed the basis for a CBC TV series and subsequent video tapes called Yarns from Pigeon Inlet.
