- Evan Celyn Rowlands, was born in St Georges Cardiff in 1906. He went to Oxford Universty where he acheived a Double First. He was ordained and spent the second world war as an Army Reverand serving in the Middle East and then Burma. He received an MBE for his service in Burma.
