Fascinating story of the Indian prince who became an England test cricketer at the end of the 19th/early 20th century, and then a major political figure in India. Well worth a read.

This is a book about the memorable test match where Cowdrey saw out play, arm in plaster, alongside David Allen, and saved the match The book has a strange smell of mothballs about it. I remember watching the last moments of this match, riveted to my seat in front of a black and white TV set. Or was it a recording?
