Gumbrella loves nursing sick animals back to health, but she hates letting them go.

Gumbrella por Barry Root
This book tells of an elephant named Gumbrella, who loves to pretend she is doctor and takes in animals from the forest who are not feeling well. Gumbrella's brother, Trumbull, retrieves the animals for her and wants to help his sister take care of them, but she won't let him. Gumbrella cares for the animals she takes in, but even when they tell her they are feelng better, she won't let them go home. At one point, all the animals leave on their own and Gumbrella becomes very upset and says she is sick. Her brother tells all the animals about Gumbrella and they come and bring her to their home in the forest to care for her. Even when she feels better, they will not let her leave and continue to care for her. They return the care that Gumbrella had given them.
