As a child, Robert Rimm found a collection of Alkan's sheet music and played several of his shorter pieces, gradually seeking out each of The Eight. Today, Rimm teaches piano and keyboard performance and music theory, composition, and history at Chronos Studios. He has written for Piano & Keyboard, mostrar más Fanfare, and Dover Publications, and provides program annotations for the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society and others.
