There’s nothing like a good mystery. And there’s a few in “Murders Unsolved” that were new to me. Author Riley takes a fairly random group of murders from across the last hundred years, mainly in the US but the odd international (Australia’s infamous “Mr Cruel” case gets a mention) and gives us the brief synopsis, the murder investigation and the chief suspects of each case. None of the cases are explored in great detail but thanks to internet, one can always seek further details that way.

For me, the most intriguing case is the strange death of Robert Wone, and the strange behaviour of everyone else in the house, while the tragic Boy in the Box at least needs his name so we can finally lay him to rest. And as is the case with cold cases, some get solved and leaves the book looking out of date, which is what happened here with Caledonia Jane Doe now identified.

I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.
This book is a concise narrative of several different crimes, committed in different countries, and over several decades. It takes readers on a journey from bank robbers, to spies, to just plain murderers. While allowing a reader to become aware of several different crimes, it does not able to delve to deeply into each because of it's concise nature. Some of the stories I was familiar with, however, others I had not heard of and would have like more information about them. Many of these stories leave you wondering if it is nature or nurture; or are they also partners in crime? I did find a few typos, which sometimes interfered with the flow of reading. I would still recommend this book to anyone wanting a quick version of these various crimes… (más)

Build an Awesome PC 2014 Edition
Easy Step to Construct the Machine You Need
by Mike Riley
Edited by Jacquelyn Carter

I was impressed with this 97 page darling from the moment I opened it. Imagine the power in being able to build my own PC from start to finish, MYSELF. The thing that impressed me the most was the layout. A simple step by step easy to follow guide to make a pc that probably won’t cost me as much as if I went to the store and got one premade. Another great thing about this cool helper is that the author didn’t talk down to me.I would recommend this wonderful read to anyone who has considered making getting a PC a DIY project, but got a little nervous. Ooops, almost forgot, the pictures really helped. Thanks so much, this will help millions.

Love & Light,

Riki Frahmann

This story of an Oregon railroad detective is borderline amateurish, but it does boast a few funny lines along the way that make it readable. The story is just too short to have the nuance necessary to rise above mediocre.
