Walking After Midnight por Malcolm Richards
I liked the premise and the characters, but ultimately felt let down by how it all ended up. I need things explained better. :(
Had me hooked from the first page to the very last of the third book - Malcolm Richards is a master at suspense/thriller/horror, this trilogy will sink its claws into you and won’t let go until long after you’ve finished reading! I was mesmerised by the plot, the characters, the pace, the location... It just all fits together so well! Both chilling and heart-rending, an absolute must to add to your TBR pile!
This was a good start to a series in that the reader is able to learn about the protagonist and her personal struggle. It wasn't expecting a character, struggling with anxiety, to be out solving a missing person case. It is as much about the missing people as it is the internal struggle of Emily. Not only is she fighting against her anxiety, but also against her past. The author has done a good job setting up the series and I would be interested in seeing Emily continue to push through her anxiety as she goes on to solve more crimes.… (más)
