Recommended by a friend, had no clue what it was even about. I enjoyed it. Once I caught on to the twist the intensity seemed to fizzle.

All the Dead were Strangers is a really thriller… Detective Conrad Voort is back for his second in this series and this time he's tracking down the list of names his childhood friend gave him on a napkin just before that friend died in an 'accidental' fire.

This was a pretty good and believable espionage novel. Set in a real world on the back of the Cold War, in the 80's or 90's. Enjoyable with good characterization.

I don't think there are any real plot twists and you're kind of along for the ride.

A good tale of espionage and tradecraft.
