Ruth M. Reinhold (1902–1985)

Arizona pilot and author. Born in Boston , Ruth Reinhold began her career in aviation in the 1930's shortly after moving to Phoenix , Arizona . During the 1930's Ruth worked for Copperclad Airways; part of her pay included flying lessons. She obtained her pilot's license, became a pilot instructor, a commercial pilot, and, eventually, Barry Goldwater's personal pilot. A member of several historical and aviation organizations, Ruth began researching the history of aviation in Arizona, which resulted in the publication of her book, Sky pioneering, in 1982.
