Where Love Grows por Cynthia Reese
Good - I learned a bit about crop insurance, sort of like flood insurance from the feds, something I didn't know existed
Another great book from Cynthia Reese. Set in Georgia, this book has a wonderful cast of characters. I loved Brandon and Penelope, who were divided because of family loyalty concerning ownership of the land that Penelope now calls her own. It was also a treat to meet up again with familiar faces from Ms. Reese's previous book, Where Love Grows.
Doctor Charli Prescott loses her father as the Christmas season approaches. She's struggling to get through the holidays without him. On top of that, she's starting to find out things about him that make her question if she really knew him at all. Next door neighbor Neil Bailey, journalist and Christmas enthusiast, wants to be there for Charli and hopes to help her through this very heartbreaking time.
This was an entertaining story that had a lot going on in it, along with the romance, to keep it interesting. Subplots involving serious issues (blackmail, workplace ethics) and the fallout from them. A very enjoyable story.… (más)
