Two pages of the REAL sea slugs at the end of this would have made this a stellar book.
This is the second book in the series, however i did not feel i had to read the first one to understand this story. Cora mermaid goes on an adventure with her friends, to prove to a bully that narwhals are real. All while also trying to write for a writing contest. The book includes cute pictures and narwhal facts in the back of the book.

Cora is a mermaid who is very good at most things, especially swimming. The one thing she is not good at is spelling. She finds that she is going to have to improve her spelling if she is going to be on the swim team called the Singing Sirens. Cora finds a friend, a giant shrimp which was mutated by toxic waste. The story is cute and has black, white and blue illustrations on every page. This is a good beginning chapter book.… (más)
