Book was developed from a lecture, and is fraught with errors, and omissions. Items are misrepresented, misidenti-fied, and/or not identified at all. The photos illustrate a considerable range of Omani jewelry styles, but many regions are ignored. Only a few photos show jewelry on a person. Photos of only the jewelry never indicate size, or weight of the pieces shown.
Two of the most useful parts of this book are the interesting photos of life over a period of years and the detailed historical chronology at the end of the book from 600 BC to 1991.
