A bit outdated now due to some of the games not being around any more (in particular the style of wargame discussed is now very dated), but still interesting and has interesting discussions of tactics (e.g. for Twixt).

Poor. Diagrams for the Shogi section seem to have been copied from
Trevor Leggetts "Shogi: Japan's Game of Strategy".

A decent guide to a British variety of Western mahjong. The game explained here is based on the Chinese Classical game. Not my favourite rules, but they do work pretty well for beginners.

There's some strategy, too, and few notes about American and Japanese mahjong. Not a great mahjong book, but not bad either, especially for British players.

Some fun stuff, including Losing Chess, Kriegspiel, and Alice Chess.

18 chess variants, plus the related 'Chinese chess 'and 'Japanese chess'. (Unfortunately, it doesn't include either form of 3-d chess that I've seen.)
