The Life and Wisdom of Mencius (Chinese Sages)… por Sinolingua Press
Picked up on the Confucius Centre bookshelf in a library in Turin, had a quick look and took on loan

It has been a long time since I had followed on Coursera a training on the history of the organizational development of State bureaucracy in China (in Chinese from Beijing, but with the help of a dictionary), where obviously some of the material in this book was part of the underlying philosophy.

It is useful to read e.g. Sawyer's books on the military history of China to understand book and historical references but, if you focus mainly on reading the English side (as in my case- I just glanced and tried to read some "character patterns" I had studied a decade ago)...

... it is a quick and enjoyable read that gives a glimpse of one of the most eventful times of Chinese history, after the mythical times and before the development of a continental state

Also if you do not share elements of the underlying philosophy, interesting as a cultural prism to view political changes at the time… (más)

A vida de Mencio com os seus ensinamentos em versão bilíngüe Chines-Ingles. Uma leitura rápida que vale a pena. Aqueles que não tiveram contato com este pensador, podem ter este primeiro contato neste livro

As ilustrações características encantam o leitor.
