DNF at half way. This was not for me. The synopsis sounded wonderful, but I found the heroine very passive and just could not maintain my interest in the story.

Interesting premise and characters. I'm sad this is a standalone, I'd like to revisit this world!

I really enjoyed this book. I do love a good historical steampunk tale. For some, this might be too slow moving. But I thought the author did a good job of capturing the feel of the era without bogging down by going to the extreme. The reticence and manners of the time are well done.

Local (Ontario) author. Enjoyable, slow burn mystery with fantasy elements. If people liked Witchmark (Polk), they'll like this, too.
