John Potash completed graduate studies at Columbia University. He published his first book, The FBI War on Tupac Shakur and Black Leaders, in 2007. Potash has been featured on CSPAN's American History TV and has been interviewed on dozens of radio programs around the U.S. and abroad. His work has mostrar más also been published in the Baltimore Chronicle, the City Paper, Covert Action Quarterly, Rock Creek Free Press, and Z magazine. An appalling book. The author presents himself as an investigative journalist but the reality appears to be that he is an unquestioning parrot of conspiracy theorists, and sometimes actual investigative journalists. He is an agenda driven antidrug crusader who does not appear to understand a large amount of his actual material. My efforts to resolve a simple question that this book raised required several back-and-forths with the author just to get past a weird attempt to engage me in an inane argument that had nothing to do with my question. (Involving his belief that the presence of strychnine in LSD was why LSD causes brain damage.) My question was asking for his point of reference, and when I finally got an answer, it left me with absolutely no respect for this person as a researcher or as a journalist.… (más)
