I remember when I found this book at my school's Scholastic Book Fair. I don't know why it stuck in my mind all these years, probably the rhythm and rhyming of the wording. My kids get to enjoy it now too!
A fun James Marshall-illustrated rhythmic, rhyming, repetitive tale. Might be interesting with Arnold Lobel's Small Pig to explore the full realm of pig behavior; in this one, a family of anthropomorphized pigs has differing opinions on the value of muddiness, though they all come around in the end.
This is about two friends who are best friends, that is until they get into a fight. They realize at their birthday party that they have differences but then make up to be friends again.
