- Muriel Pollexfen was born in Liverpool, England, and grew up in London. In 1907, she married Adrian Tresidder, a surveyor and land agent; the couple divorced in 1919. She and her sister Claire Pollexfen both became writers, though neither had much success. Her best-known works involved daring adventures in the new technology of airplanes.
