The Presidents and the Press por James E. Pollard
Straightforward history of the relations of presidents and the press, from Washington's disdain for Freneau to FDR's press conferences. Most of it seems very even-handed, with perhaps an emphasis on the more hostile relations --comparing Washington to an emperor of Industan etc.
