Well, I suppose some of the story happened at night, but other than that that title is a pure rip-off misnomer as there as no dead (i.e. the implied zombies); naked or otherwise. What we do have is a storm (possibly caused by aliens or global warming) and a few people holed up in a house on the edge of a swamp: householder, Emma (Emma Gruttadauria), handyman, David (Joshua Koopman), odd lost girl, Veronica (Alexandra Creteau) and a creepy cop (Nick Apostolides). There is also woman who appears to have a cuddly toy fetish, who does nothing but laugh into the camera. All the characters are jerks and a couple of them are ghosts. The actors are less than amateurish with Emma Gruttadauria being particularly annoying due to her wandering northern Irish (?) accent. Poorly written and atrociously directed by Junius Podrug, "The Night of the Naked Dead" is simply awful and unusually for a low budget, independent effort, it has absolutely nothing worth recommending within it.… (más)

Adequate characters, pedestrian plotting, then suddenly on page 109 the author shifts to ancient times to lay some information down... FOR OVER 150 PAGES. Really, author? *150*?? I forgot the name of the lead modern-day character at that point and after a couple minutes realized I didn't care.

I lent it to a friend - same problem. He hit p. 109 and soon after gave up.

So, don't bother. Grab a different book.

A apocalypse story taking place on Earth that has no drinkable water. This is a well research book. I was surprised to read a passage in the book that had just been explained on National Geographic. Made the story all the more believable.
The story is that of a young ball player in Mexico who travels to play in the most important game of the year when he is time traveled to modern day. In the United States things are going from bad to worst as the water is turned into poison. A group of scientists and government leaders battle it out to see who will lead, while the young ball player finds that his world might be better.… (más)
