Excellent reference book for experienced sewists. The instructional approach is very clear and there are many valuable pointers for choosing the correct style for body type. This book covers appropriate fabric choices as well as how to customize a pattern. My one warning comment: it is so well written, that I was convinced I, too, could turn out an exquisite jacket (especially since nowhere does it warn you to have a solid background in tailoring). I couldn't achieve a professional result despite considerable experience in sewing a wide array of other clothing, so maybe it was rather disingenuous of me not to consider my limited experience in structured garments.… (más)
