Joseph D. Pistone

A good book, though it did start dragging about 3/4's of the way through. The descriptions of the different mob jobs that he was involved in got old after a while. Otherwise, an excellent read. Mr. Pistone had incredible courage and fortitude to stick with this assignment for so long.

People who are interesting do not always make interesting authors -- often the intriguing story turned out to be the one he chose not to pursue beyond a paragraph.

My first read. Read it after watching the movie 100 times. Had the characters voices in my head as I read it. Liked the movie and loved the book. Anyone can get wrapped up in their situation and anyone can feel trapped in their situation too. Great story!!

A very interesting read. Not as good as the first book. A bit choppy and jumped around time-line wise. And you can definitely tell his dislike for celebrities and stuff in certain ways (James Caan in particular). A lot of bragging and back-patting. But definitely a good book and addition to the Mafiosi history information.
