What a fantastic book! I chanced across this in the London yarn store Loop, and now can't wait to get book 1. This is everything I could want in a book about historical knitting - well written background, with illustrations of traditional examples; explanations of the techniques; charts and details to recreate historical items; and a few modernised patterns for those of us who want to try something just a bit easier.
