This is an audiobook for learning beginning Italian. The repetition using combinations of phrases is helpful. I learned some and hopefully will retain some knowledge. I recommend this short course.

I took 2 and a half years of French in high school, but have barely used it in the last 20 years. This was a great way to brush up during my work commutes, I'm really glad to have picked it up at my local library.

For a beginner I think these CDs would be a great place to start!

Much better than the other two I've done. I like their method, which is based on the premise that, just like with your native language, you can learn to speak before you learn all the grammar rules. They break down new words into syllables, which is helpful with a language that's so different you can't always tell where a word ends and another begins. I wish they'd done that in the first program I used, when that was a real problem for me.
