T. Petrov Pavlova takes you on an emotional journey with Spectres Bare. A beautiful book of poetry. Darkness into My Soul is my favorite poem in the book.

I received an autographed copy through Library Thing Member Giveaways.

Spectres Bare is a wonderful book of poetry written by T. Petrov Pavlova; written in the Shakespearean style.

Its broken down into three chapters; "of Love", "of Life", and "of Thoughts". Simply the three things that life itself is generally made of.

It is a wonderful book that makes both the heart/soul think and the brain think. Odd and rare for a book to do; least of all poetry; but its spectacularly true. The words and phrasing is beautiful and causes the soul and heart to soar yet wonder and grow; whilst the imagery and intelligence used makes the mind continue to think and attempt to expand itself.

A terrific book of poetry; anxiously awaiting a second (and a third, and a fourth, and a fifth).

The poetry in Spectres Bare is a joy to read. Pavlova recommended it be read aloud and I heartily concur; it's the sort of poetry you curl up with in front of a fire and read to another person. The use of an archaic form of English adds to the complexity of the prose, giving the reader something to ponder and chew upon. It is not a book you read in one sitting; I enjoyed reading a few poems every day and ruminating upon those. Particularly I was a fan Mere of Tears and Gift of Death The Blinded.

This is a wonderful debut work and I look forward to seeing more of Pavlova's work. Stunning.

Beautifully versed poetry that feels as though it's been torn right out of centuries old books. The use of Old English and Shakespearean language brings back the true beauty of what is poetry.
