Someone is trying to kill Thorn Loxley,the estranged youngest son of a farmer's dynasty. And the they try again and he decides to deal with this ordeal all by himself. This rural community is somewhat in turmoil,There are developers on the horizon and Thorn owns the deeds to a piece of land that is needed so this company can create a housing estate. The other grounds are owned by another farmer's dynasty, the Crook family and needless to say,they are at daggers drawn. And so the attempts to murder Thorn continue... The storyline is not bad and it has a certain potential but none of the characters feel real,they are all so shallow. The book(not really the story)feels immature. And the end is absolutely over the top. Really over the top. Sometimes a good editor is a blessing...… (más)

I am always in the mood for a good crime/gangster novel. Yet, I have to tell you that this book is not just a "good" book, it is a "awesome" book. Mr. Parker took me into Ben's world full of betrayal, blood, fireworks, loyalty, and revenge.

Ben is the everyone's man. He has been through hell and back. However, he shows that there is still a heart underneath all that tough exterior. Therefore, I would not want to be on the receiving end of Ben's fury. Thus, Ben comes into contact with one of the biggest mob bosses, Felix. Terry "The Turn-Up" Masters will have to wait. Felix messed with the wrong persons...Jack. Jack was there for Ben. Ben will attempt to take down Felix even if it means blood will be spilled.

The storyline was strong as were the characters. Additionally, this story did not have foul language. It just goes to show you that not all gangster novels need or require strong language. Besides a strong storyline, the action was plentiful. There was no down time in the story. I could see this book being on both the small and big screen.… (más)
