This is a fun book to dip into, with fascinating facts about foods of all kinds, from bread to beverages. For example, did you know that enzymes on the inside of banana peel encourage splinters to move toward your skin's surface. That might be handy to try next time you have a hard-to-get-at splinter. Here's another one: "Dr. Pepper was once promoted as a warm drink. For a few seasons in the 1960s, the soft drink's marketers advertised 'Hot Dr. Pepper,' that is 'delicious served steaming hot' over a thin slice of lemon."… (más)

A mediocre book about a (sort of) film glam artist from the early 20th century. It selves heavily into the relationship with the various competing scouting organizations of the time as well. While he was not necessarily a complete criminal, he certainly skirted the edge and was willing to set aside ethics quite readily.

It's a listicle of a book: little bits of somewhat scientifically studied wisdom on how to be happier.

Could I tell you any one of the suggestions at this specific point in time after reading it? No.

Was there a detailed bibliography of the studies and articles that Palmer took these happiness tips from at the end? Yes. Does well documenting your sources make me happy? Yes. So one happiness hack at least succeeded, with regards to me.
