Nice journal to keep track of national park adventures. I enjoyed the checklists and space for notes. I did not love the font, found it hard to read at times

Your Guide to the National Parks: The Complete Guide to All 59 National Parks by Michael Joseph Oswald
Love this guide because it tells you how to plan for a trip to any of the parks, what to expect, how to explore and what's out there.
Love the different ones that even offer bus rides between the different areas of a park. We have been to several and I wish I had this book before we had gone, pretty sure we missed some things i would've wanted to see for myself. We still have a few years left to go travel. A newer version is now available: 63 national parks. guess we've added some recently.
A KEPER!

This is a great journal! Perfect size and the right amount of blank space, plus prompts. I’ve visited about 1/3 of the parks so it will be fun to look back and enter memories. I love that Michael included stickers and a handwritten note with the Early Reviewer copy.

I wish I had this journal years ago when I first started visiting the National Parks! All 63 National Parks are listed alphabetically in this compact 7 x 5 book (perfect for slipping into a backpack.)

Each park has a page listing the year it was established, its size, approximate yearly visitation, and the approximate miles of trail. Below this is listed a few hints. Death Valley for example has this listed below it:

This park is HUGE. Spend a few days and explore.
Enjoy sunset/sunrise at Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes.
Hike Golden Canyon.
Drive Titus Canyon Road (one-way, high-clearance is a good idea.)
Goof around at the lowest place in the Americas, Badwater!
Go off-roading (Racetrack, West side Road's canyons)
Hike to Telescope Peak where you can look at the highest peak in the lower 48 (Mount Whitney) and the lowest point in the Americas (Badwater)

After each listing and the hints, there follow about two ruled pages and one completely blank page for notes, comments, impressions, or whatever you want to write about your visit. Following the last park (Zion) there are 20 blank pages for additional notes. Throughout the book, you'll find whimsical cartoons (many dealing with prairie dogs)with little factoids about the parks.

Full disclose: I won a copy of this journal in a LibraryThing giveaway.
