Udmærket lærebog i en gammel variant af Fortran. Meget morsomt er Eksempel 14.7.1 på side 238 og frem en tur rundt på skakbrættet med en springer. Der er en meget elegant rekursiv løsning som bare ikke bliver færdig før solen går kold. Fortran har ikke rekursion, men forfatterne løser alligevel problemet supereffektivt. Glimrende eksempel på at man kan løse mange problemer med en hammer, bare den er tung nok.
